QA Specialist with 7+ years of technical experience, including 4+ years building test automation for web applications, IoT/EV platforms, and manufacturing systems. Holds two Master’s degrees (Computer Science and Computer Architecture Engineering) and a PgCert in Advanced Computer Science. Brings strong analytical skills and reliability to agile development teams. Day-to-day work involves writing Test Plans, Procedures, and Reports, debugging complex systems, and running system, integration, and interoperability testing—most recently for EV charging infrastructure (EVSE) and OCPP cloud integrations at Siemens.
Professional Experience
Quality Assurance Specialist
- Built and maintained 500+ automated test cases (Cypress) for Depot360 AI, Siemens’ EV fleet platform. Covered OCPP charger flows, Geotab telematics, Maptiler maps, and the Home Reimbursement module across 6 market launches.
- Owned integration testing for the microservices backend in a distributed team (40+ people, 6 time zones). Focused on OCPP charger management, real-time telemetry, and multi-tenant fleet operations.
- Ran bug triage in JIRA, prioritizing 300+ tickets per sprint. Introduced severity classification that cut average resolution time noticeably and gave PMs clearer release readiness data.
- Worked directly with support when customer issues came in—reproduced bugs, wrote regression tests for the fixes, and tracked whether the same issues recurred.
- Parallelized our CI/CD test pipeline (was ~3 hours, got it down to ~45 minutes), which unblocked daily deployments and saved the team significant wait time.
- Wrote the UI and API test framework for Home Reimbursement from scratch. This module calculates driver compensation, so accuracy was critical—post-release defects dropped substantially after the framework went live.
Software Tester (Co-op)
- Worked closely with the dev team on DNP3 Secure Authentication and outstation testing. Learned the protocol, test harness, device configuration, and telemetry point setup, then executed a full suite of DNP3 tests ahead of schedule.
- Ramped up quickly on additional areas including control module testing and signal dispatcher validation. Collaborated with 8+ team leads on test strategy documentation in Confluence.
- Adopted and actively contributed to the team’s test-data-automation project—writing reusable scripts for complex test data setup that other QEs could use.
- Picked up Linux server administration on my own: worked with package managers, Docker, Prometheus/Grafana monitoring, and built projects like Redis from source.
- Received a written commendation from a senior engineer describing me as “one of the most productive co-ops I’ve seen, rivalling some members of the team that have been here for years.”
Founder (Web/Graphic Designer)
- Started an online printing platform with e-commerce and ran an art gallery featuring 1000+ artworks. Grew to 500+ active customers within the first year.
- Designed and built responsive websites for both businesses. Created logos, graphics, and marketing materials, and managed the CMS for ongoing content updates.
- Registered the “چاپسی” (Chop30) brand in 2018 (Brand ID 139750140001060310) and expanded operations across both ventures through contract negotiations and steady revenue growth.
Interests & Hobbies
I’m a hands-on problem-solver who enjoys taking projects from concept to completion. I’ve restored and customized a trolling motor for my small boat, including rebuilding the control system with a custom remote and PWM-based speed control. As a licensed drone pilot (Transport Canada VLOS), I enjoy aerial photography and recreational flying. Living in New Brunswick—where winter lasts half the year—I balance outdoor pursuits with indoor creative projects. I’ve built a board game collection that includes out-of-print titles I’ve recreated from scratch, designing and assembling custom boards and card sets. I also create wall art from various materials, recently upcycling a vintage Persian rug from Shiraz by framing individual floral motifs as standalone pieces.
